SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Detection Kit Saliva Nasal COVID 19 Home Self Test Rapid Antigen Kit (RTK)

The evaluation study was performed to determine the performance of the self-test kit, the Wiz Biotech SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Test in detecting SARS-CoV-2 antigen from nasal swab samples. The testing was performed on 30 SARS-CoV-2 positives and 30 SARS-CoV-2 negative samples (by real-time RT-PCR). The positive samples consisted of samples displaying Ct values between 13.70-29.88. Results showed that using the Wiz Biotech SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Test, a total of 29 out of 30 tested positive samples were SARS-CoV-2 antigen-positive and no false positives were detected among the negative samples. The evaluation showed that the tested device was able to detect SARS-CoV-2 antigen in the tested nasal swab samples with 93.7% sensitivity and 100% specificity.

Step 1 – Preparation ahead of the ART

Before you administer the test please make sure:

• Your environment is well ventilated and is isolated, away from other people.
• There is a flat surface available to place the cartridge, you may require a mirror and a timer to guide you.
• Find a surface that can be easily disinfected and cleaned or wiped down. For example, the bathroom may be a good option for a place to administer the test.
• Familiarise yourself with the instructions on the ART test kits, according to the respective brand’s manufacturing instructions.

Step 2 – Administer the ART

• Clean your hands before you administer the ART.
• Swab both your nostrils.
• Read and check your own ART test result according to the manufacturer’s instructions in the specific test kit.
