Examples of applications include welding T-joints, connection work, carrying out repairs, etc. The WELDPLAST 605 has numerous positive features that make it a professional hand extruder in civil engineering: For example, its specific screw with two-zone heating is designed for extrusion welding on geomembranes. Various preheating nozzles ensure optimum heating of the welding zone. The well-balanced bow handle allows different grip positions, makes it easy to carry and transport, and enables safe standing. For more flexibility when welding, the WELDPLAST 605 has a welding rod intake on both sides (right and left). In addition, both the drive motor and the blower motor on the WELDPLAST 600 are brushless, making the Leister extruder particularly durable, low-maintenance and long-lasting. The LED light on the WELDPLAST 605 illuminates the welding area, which makes it easy to work in dark or shaded areas. At the same time, the LED light indicates when the extrusion welder has reached its operating temperature. The cable routing of the WELDPLAST 605 is optimized for civil engineering and is therefore located below the extruder. This allows it to be guided forwards when welding and ensures less obstacles. Due to its intelligent power management, undervoltage is compensated up to a certain level. This ensures the same high quality welding. Thanks to ECO mode, users save up to 40% energy during work breaks. The increasing quality requirements in civil engineering were also taken into account when developing the hand extruder. For this reason, the WELDPLAST 605 is equipped with the proven Leister Quality System (LQS), like the new GEOSTAR and TWINNY automatic welders. With the myLeister app, the welding parameters, including GPS coordinates, are also recorded and clearly documented in a log when welding. As mentioned at the beginning, the WELDPLAST 605 is designed for use in civil engineering. In contrast, there’s a specific extrusion welder for tank and container construction: WELDPLAST 600.
