14 orange FC tab each containing Estradiol 2 mg, 14 yellow FC tab each containing Estradiol 2 mg, dydrogesterone 10 mg.
Indication
Hormone replacement therapy for women with disorders due to natural or surgically induced menopause with intact uteri.
Instruction
Take orange tab daily for the 1st 14 days, followed by 1 yellow tab daily for the next 14 days without interruption. If patient is still menstruating, begin treatment on the 1st day after onset of menstruation.
Drug interaction
Reduced estrogen effect w/ liver enzyme inducers eg, oxcarbazepine, topiramate, felbamate, barbiturates, phenytoin, rifampicin, carbamazepine. Femoston increased metabolism by anticonvulsants eg, phenobarbital, carbamazepine, phenytoin & anti-infectives eg, rifampicin, rifabutin, nevirapine, efavirenz. Exhibit inducing properties w/ ritonavir & nelfinavir. Induced metabolism w/ herbal prep containing St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum). Interfered metabolism of tacrolimus & cyclosporine A, fentanyl, theophylline.
