The YT-2864 voltage tester allows you to detect AC voltage, e.g. in a household socket or at the ends of wires by two methods: contact and inductive. The tester also allows you to test the continuity of the cable and check the condition of the batteries or accumulators. The presence of voltage is indicated by the lighting of the diode located inside the handle.
SAMPLE FUNCTIONS
AC voltage detection range by contact method: 70 - 250V
AC voltage detection range by inductive method: 70 - 600V
Checking the battery condition using the contact method: from 1.5 to 9V
Wire continuity test by contact method: 0 - 50 MΩ
TECHNICAL DATA
total length: 140 mm
tip width: 3.5 mm
power supply: 2x1.5V; LR41
CONTACT METHOD
Apply the tip to the live circuit. The lighting of the LED indicates the flow of electric current through this element. In this method, it is not recommended to touch the contact located on top of the handle. Touching the contact does not pose a risk of electric shock, but it increases the sensitivity of the tester and may falsify the indication.
INDUCTION METHOD
The method makes it possible to detect AC voltage in an insulated wire. To do this, grab the tester by the insulated part of the tip and bring the contact located on the top of the handle closer to the insulated wire. When the LED diode lights up, the tested cable is live. You can increase the sensitivity of the method by gripping the tester by the bare part of the tip. This method also allows for ''non-contact'' detection of a break in a live electrical wire. At the point of interruption, the tester will stop signaling the presence of voltage.
CHECKING BATTERY STATUS
The tester allows you to check the condition of batteries or accumulators intended for powering various electrical devices in the range from 1.5V to 9V. Put the tip of the tester to the battery terminal marked ''+'', touch the contact located on the top of the handle, then touch the battery terminal marked ''-''. When the LED lights up, the battery or accumulator is charged. Do not use this method to test batteries or accumulators with a higher voltage rating. Batteries and accumulators connected to an electrical circuit must not be tested.
WIRE CONTINUITY CHECK
We check the continuity of the cable by applying the tip to one end of the cable, then holding the contact located on the top of the handle, grab the other end of the cable. When the LED diode lights up, it means the continuity of the tested cable. It is forbidden to use this method to check the continuity of live wires or in an electrical circuit.Lebih maklumat tentang ALLIANCE SUPPLIES SDN BHD
