CROWN Emulsion is a matt emulsion specially formulated for housing projects where economy is important. It smooth matt finish hides surface imperfections and avoid reflection of uneven plastered surfaces.
Newly plastered surfaces :
Interior Walls & Ceilings For new surfaces, allow surfaces to cure and dry out completely. Avoid painting when the moisture content is above 15% on a Protimeter and alkalinity of the wall is still high above pH-9 or premature paint failure will occur. Large cracks must be repaired with cement: sand mix and rendered smooth. Make good all minor defects with appropriate fillers. Remove all loosely adhering residues by thorough brushing.
Repainting :
Interior Walls & Ceilings Check for powders or chalk. These surface contaminants must be completely removed by washing with warm water and detergent solutions. Rinse with clean water, taking care to change the rinsing water regularly. If after thorough preparation the surface is still slightly powdery, it may be necessary to seal it with PAR Plasterseal solvent-based
wall sealer. Dilute the sealer up to 30% and apply liberally to allow the sealer to fully penetrate the surface and form a barrier that seals up the chalk.
