• Presence of Hazard:

  • Gases: Suitable for Zone 1 (where explosive gases may be present during normal operation) and Zone 2 (where gases are likely only in abnormal conditions).
  • Dust: Suitable for Zone 21 (where combustible dust clouds may be present during normal operation) and Zone 22 (where dust is likely only under abnormal conditions).

• Gas Groups:

  • Group IIC: Can operate in environments with highly explosive gases, including hydrogen and acetylene (the highest gas group for ATEX).
  • Group IIB: Suitable for gases such as ethylene and propylene (less explosive than IIC gases but more hazardous than propane).
