The farmers of Kawakami Village believe in dedicating their hearts and souls to quality and organicity, taking care of every ripe fruit carefully and selecting only one at a time. Each Mikan orange, when the harvest season is near, growers will wrap each fruit in a paper bag as a natural way to protect the fruit.
Most importantly, it extends the growing period, allowing growers to accurately determine the ripe size of the fruit and reduce acidity. The fruit is then ripened to the maximum extent possible and the ripening time is extended to allow the Mikan oranges to produce more sugar, and the fruit will have a fragrant aroma and intense sweetness. The fruit is then allowed to ripen on its own. Then the fruits will be allowed to ripen on the trunk. Then only perfect fruits that meet the standards will be selected and finally, good packaging will be used right from the time of harvest to maintain the quality. The aroma is sweet even before peeling due to the high sugar content.
