Astatin 20mg tablets contain Atorvastatin Calcium, equivalent to 20mg of Atorvastatin. Atorvastatin is a synthetic lipid-lowering agent that inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in cholesterol synthesis.
Indications:

• Hyperlipidemias: To reduce elevated levels of total cholesterol, LDL-C (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol), apolipoprotein B, and triglycerides in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia.
• Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia: Treatment for this genetic condition that causes very high cholesterol levels.

• Dosage: Typically, 20mg once daily, but follow your doctor's prescription.
• Administration: Take with or without food.
• Monitoring: Regular liver function tests are recommended.
• Precautions: Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Use with caution if you have liver disease or consume large amounts of alcohol.
