MC Nylon (Cast Nylon) formly known as Nylon 6 is a common engineering plastic due to its ease of machinability. It combines high strength, stiffness and hardness properties with good creep and wear resistance. MC Nylon (Cast Nylon) also has good heat ageing properties, is electrically insulating and is resistant to the majority of oils, chemicals, fuels and cleaning fluids. Below shows the standard sheet availability, many of which, are manufactured in-house utilising our own Nylon Casting facilities. Many of these are available to buy online by clicking the link above. Temperature: -40°C to +100°C.
Key Features: High strength and stiffness, easy to machine. Good sliding properties, abrasion resistant.
Applications: Impact plates, rollers, spindle nuts, conveyor screws, bushes, piston guides, castors, damping plates, gears, rope pulleys, cam discs, friction strips, plug parts and bearings.
