The thinnest gauges available are as pre-stretched rolls; the film is stretched during the manufacturing process so there is not as much elasticity and tackiness as a regular roll. This pre-stretching means there is less weight of film per pallet which reduces disposal and material costs and there is more consistent wrapping as the wrapping does not rely on the operator to evenly stretch the film.
