The objective of a Local Exhaust Ventilation monitoring is to measure the efficiency of removal of contaminants from an exhaust system and engineering control system which designed to reduce employee exposure to airborne contaminants (dust, mist, fume, vapour, gas) in the workplace. By using digital anemometer and manometer, the instruments show the value of capture, transport and face velocity at source to a safe emission point or to a filter/scrubber.
The objectives of the examination and testing are as the following;In compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Standards of Exposure of Chemicals Hazardous to Health) Regulations 2000, an employer needs to engage Hygiene Technician II registered with Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
