• Sterile, water-insoluble, malleable, porcine gelatin absorbable sponge intended for haemostatic use by applying to a bleeding surface.
• Spongostan is used by world wide to stop mild bleeding.
• Spongostan is available in a number of different version and is basically a gelatin sponge with a neutral pH.
• The bleeding should stop between in 2-10 minutes.
• Spongostan is absorbed within 4-6 weeks. 
• Indicated to be able to be used with thrombin or sterile saline
