RS PRO Photoelectric Sensor Diffuse 40 → 1000 mm Detection Range PNP

 

This diffuse sensor from the RS PRO range is commonly used to detect physical objects, calculate distances and measure changes in surface conditions. The primary function of this type of photoelectric sensor is to detect the presence or absence of an object. It does this by emitting a beam of electromagnetic radiation (light) and measuring alterations in the return signal (reflection).

This sensor is compact and robust, with a sturdy IP67 body that’s water-resistant and dustproof. It contains the light source and the receiver in a single package, which makes it easy to transport and install.

When the beam of light meets an object, the receiver captures the reflection and converts it into an electrical output in less than 2.5 milliseconds. Also compliant with CE and UL safety certifications, this sensor is suitable for industrial product detection or general sensing tasks.
