From RS Pro a Type J thermocouple temperature sensor conforming to IEC 584 standards designed for connecting to a surface. This thermocouple has a robust design with a glass fibre insulated cable surrounded by a stainless steel braid. The cable is terminated with a stainless steel shim which allows the thermocouple to be welded or soldered into place on a flat surface.
