Akame
Akame know as Micro Benitade is comprised of small, lanceolate-shaped leaves with curved, tapered edges attached to narrow and crunchy, pale green to red stems. Each leaf has a uniform, smooth, and delicate appearance, and there may be several leaves attached to a single stem. The bright green leaves also bear splashes of maroon and have a pliable feel with a crisp, succulent, and tender consistency. Micro Benitade contributes an initially mild, vegetal minerality that builds into an intense, clean burst of heat with some bitterness, quickly dissipating into a pleasant green aftertaste. It is important to note that the spiciness experienced with the microgreen is similar to a black pepper-like heat versus the lingering nature of a chile pepper.
