Soy Bean Paste is a fermented paste made from soybeans. It has a strong aroma with salty and sweet taste at the same time. It serves as a traditional seasoning sauce and it is widely use in stewing, steaming, frying as well as dipping.
The fermented bean paste is a ready-to-use all-purpose cooking sauce which have in various types of Chinese cuisine, such as stews, soups, marinades as well as stir-fry. A very well-known dish called Zhajiang Mian is using this soybean paste to fried the minced pork and poured over the top of the noodles or rice.
Fermented soybean paste is very rich in vitamins and minerals and it was believed to have anti-aging elements and rich in anti-oxidants.
