Sweetened sauce is a thick sauce in dark purplish brown colour, and the taste…definitely sweet!! It is widely use as a topping of Chee Cheung Fun and Steamed Yam Cake (Wu Tao Gao). Besides, it is a dipping sauce for Hakka Yong Tofu too and it serves as one of the important ingredients of Penang Rojak Sauce. You may dilute it with some hot water if you would like it be thinner as dipping sauce.
