Overview
Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea) happens to many girls, it is a throbbing and craping pain at the lower part of abdomen. This usually happen just before or/and during the period time. The pain can range from mild pain that still bearable without any medication to severe pain that require injection of pain killer medication and prevent them to function normally and affecting their normal life activities.
Menstrual pain most commonly due to endometriosis, uterine fibroids adenomyosis, pelvic inflammatory disease or cervical stenosis. An ultrasound will be able to help diagnose the above causes. Some of the causes above can have other complication like causing fertility problem.
