Kaiken is an Argentinian winery founded in 2002 by renowned Chilean winemaker Aurelio Montes, who saw great potential in the region for premium grape growing.
His goal was to produce premium wines in Mendoza that would showcase the best of both sides of the Andes.
His efforts have clearly paid off. The winery’s name is inspired by the Patagonian goose (Caiquén), a symbol of the spirit that crosses borders and reflects the founder’s passion for exploring new horizons in winemaking.
This special release red wine is made from 100% Malbec grapes from Mendoza’s Carnota Valley.
Carnota Valley is known for its high altitude vineyards and cool climate, providing ideal conditions for growing Malbec grapes with intense fruit flavors and balanced acidity.
The captivating nose brings notes of blueberry, blackberry and graphite, followed by a juicy, lively palate with ripe fruit and pronounced tannins.
A deep and dark wine with aromas of black fruit, wet earth and black truffle. Full-bodied with very fine pectin and just the right amount of smokiness that adds texture and complexity to the finish.
