Description
Pulsation Dampener/ Surge Suppressor for Small Diaphragm Pumps
Pulsation dampener also known as surge suppressor is an accessory for an air-operated double-diaphragm pump (AODD) that helps with stabilizing your pump pressure giving you a virtually pulsation-free discharge flow. This type of pulsation dampener enables the dampener diaphragm to stroke at the same speed as the in-line diaphragm pump by adjusting the inlet air pressure to the pump until it runs smoothly.
This range of surge suppressors utilizes manual charge which is easy to be installed and can be installed in any position. It is suitable for smaller sizes of AODD pumps including 3/4", 1/2", and 1". Available in polypropylene, PVDF, aluminum, or stainless steel wetted housings. Pulsamation dampener for bigger size of AODD pump and other kind of metallic are available here.

How does the pulsation dampener work?
Displacing the flexible diaphragm upwards into the compressed air chamber while the fluid enters the liquid chamber, the surge suppressor acts as a seperator between the liquid chamber and the compressed air chamber. As the diaphragm pump is operating, the compressed air force minimise the speed of the diaphragm's displacement which in turn effectively dampens the fluid pulsation providing a steadier pressure.
