Is Hanwoo better than Wagyu?
“Wagyu feels like it melts in your mouth due to this high fat ratio, but one can also say that as a result it tastes relatively bland,” Hwang says. “Hanwoo is more balanced. It has a stronger flavour of beef and some more texture to chew on rather than just melting in your mouth.”
The production of Hanwoo beef is limited due to factors such as the breed's lower yield compared to some other cattle breeds and the limited land available for raising cattle in Korea. The supply of Hanwoo beef is relatively limited, which can drive up its price.
