The Intel Core i7-3770 desktop processor featured four cores. It is part of the Core i7 range, with the Ivy Bridge architecture and Socket 1155. Intel Hyper-Threading basically doubles the core count to eight threads. Core i7-3770 features 8 MB of L3 cache and runs at 3.4 GHz by default, but may be clocked up to 3.9 GHz depending on the workload. Intel produces the Core i7-3770 on a 22 nm production node with 1,400 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on the Core i7-3770, limiting its overclocking capability.
