In May 2014, the dual-core desktop processor Intel Core i3-4170 was released. It is a member of the Core i3 series and is built on the Socket 1150 Haswell architecture. Intel Hyper-Threading allows for an effective doubling of the core count, resulting in 4 threads. The Core i3-4170 processor runs at 3.7 GHz and has 3 MB of L3 cache. Using 1,400 million transistors on a 22 nm production node, Intel produced the Core i3-4170.
