Intel Xeon Processor L5520

The Intel Xeon L5520 server/workstation CPU featured four cores. It is part of the Xeon range, with the Gainestown architecture and Socket 1366. The number of cores is practically doubled, to eight threads, because to Intel Hyper-Threading. Up to two Xeon L5520 CPUs can connect in a multi-processor (SMP) configuration to significantly improve system performance. The Xeon L5520 runs at 2.266 GHz by default with a boost to 2.533 GHz depending on workload, and it includes 8 MB of L3 cache. Intel used a 45 nm manufacturing method to create the Xeon L5520, which has 731 million transistors.
