In October 2012, the AMD A6-5400K, a two-core desktop CPU, was released. It is a member of the A6 range and employs Socket FM2 and the Trinity architecture. The A6-5400K runs at 3.6 GHz by default with a boost to 3.8 GHz depending on workload and features 1 MB of L2 cache. AMD used a 32 nm manufacturing process with 1,303 million transistors to build the A6-5400K.
