A wire rope socket is a mechanical device used to terminate the end of a wire rope (also known as a cable or steel rope) securely and reliably. It provides a strong and permanent attachment point for applications where the wire rope needs to be anchored, such as in lifting, towing, and rigging operations. There are few ranges of wire rope socket which is open spelter socket, closed spelter socket, mooring sockets, wedge sockets and swage sockets.
