This is a radial bearing generally used as a hub bearing for some quick-release hub designs. The Enduro line of bearings are available in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Enduro's bearings are always engineered with deepest groove races possible to accommodate the largest balls and feature dual-lip seals that ride in a micro-groove creating a full labyrinth to provide superior protection against the elements.
WHICH BEARING TO CHOOSE?
61001 | Abec-5
Deep groove design races
Grade 10 balls (high carbon chromium steel)
Fill with high pressure water proof grease
Static load: 443bf / 1.97kN
Weight: 20.85g
71001 | Abec-5 Angular Contact In standard radial bearings, only three or four of the balls make contact during load. But Enduro angular contact bearings work differently. When properly installed and adjusted (black seal facing in), Enduro angular contact bearings engage all of the bearing's balls to spread the force over a larger surface area, decreasing friction, minimizing wear and increasing bearing life.
