It is a popular variety due to its refreshing crunch and high sugar content despite its greenish appearance. It is a delicate green that turns golden with a hint of a blush. It has a firm texture with a crisp almost crunchy mouthfeel. Emerald Beaut pluots are sweet tart when first picked and continue to sweeten as the fruit ripens off the tree.
