Description
Ultra-Slim thin section bearings have the thinnest cross sections in the entire SKF bearing portfolio and are a very compact solution for applications where space is limited. They are available in three different bearing types:
- radial contact ball bearings (type C)
- angular contact ball bearings (type A)
- four-point contact ball bearings (type X)
Kaydon standard Ultra-Slim thin section bearings are made of stainless steel and include spacer balls as separators. The bearings can be customized to meet specific application needs.
Features and benefits
- Extremely thin cross section
In applications where space is limited, Ultra-Slim thin section bearings offer a very compact design.

- Lightweight
Ultra-Slim thin section bearings can enable significant weight savings, which may result in cost savings for the overall application.
- Corrosion resistance
Ultra-Slim thin section bearings are made of stainless steel and are therefore corrosion resistant when exposed to moisture and several other harsh environments.
- Low friction
- High stiffness
- High running accuracy
Applications
The small cross section, large bore Ultra-Slim thin section bearings are designed for industries, at top of the list, and applications where precise positioning and lightweight designs are important, including:
- Inspection equipment
- Satellites
- Other similar light and medium-duty applications with slow or intermittent rotation
