Kochi Buntan Pomelo is a specialty from Kochi prefecture, and usually available at the start of Autumn. It is mainly cultivate in a greenhouse and has a very low production volume.
It features a unique refreshing aroma and a crisp texture.When eating one grain, the small, crispy pulp pops and the abudant juice immediately spreads in your mouth. It has a good taste with sourness and sweetness, with a high sugar content. It is very similar to Tosa Pomelo, but there are fewer seeds and much fuller pulps. Compared to Tosa Pomelo, which requires to ripen to full yellow. Buntan Pomelo are fully sweetned and ready to be consumed even when the outer skin is green
