The Balvenie DoubleWood 12-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky derives its distinctive character from a maturation process involving two types of wood. Crafted by David Stewart MBE, the whisky spends at least 12 years aging in traditional American Oak ex-bourbon barrels and hogsheads before being transferred to Spanish Oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks for an additional nine months. Each stage imparts unique qualities, resulting in a complex and flavorful single malt.
