Melanez Suppositories 500mg contain 500mg of Mesalazine, an anti-inflammatory agent used to treat inflammatory bowel diseases.
Indications:

• Acute mild to moderate ulcerative colitis limited to the rectum (ulcerative proctitis).
• Maintenance of remission in Crohn's ileo-colitis.

• Dosage for Adults and Elderly: Insert 1 to 2 suppositories, 2 to 3 times daily. The dosage should be adjusted based on the progress of the condition1.
• Method of Administration: Rectal insertion.
• Precautions: Ensure adequate fluid intake during treatment. Monitor for any signs of intolerance reactions such as abdominal cramps or acute abdominal pain1.
• Contraindications: Known hypersensitivity to salicylates, severe impairment of hepatic or renal function.
