Treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).
Prevention of recurrence of DVT and PE following initial therapy.
Prophylaxis of DVT, which may lead to PE in patients who have undergone hip or knee replacement surgery.
Non-valvular atrial fibrillation: 5 mg twice daily.
Treatment of DVT and PE: 10 mg twice daily for the first 7 days, followed by 5 mg twice daily.
Prevention of recurrent DVT and PE: 5 mg twice daily.
Prophylaxis of DVT following hip or knee replacement surgery: 5 mg twice daily.
