How does Unique Vacuum Breaker Valve work? |
|
Functioning as a control check valve, the Alfa Laval Unique Vacuum Breaker Valve operates similarly to a ball check mechanism. During processing or CIP, when the system is pressurized, the internal ball is pushed upward against its seat, effectively sealing the vent port. If the pressure drops and a vacuum condition begins to form, the ball descends, opening the vent and allowing air to enter, thereby preventing vacuum formation. For cleaning, the pneumatic check valve actuator can be pulsed to dislodge the ball from the seat. This allows CIP fluid to flush the valve chamber and exit through the vent port, ensuring the internal surfaces remain hygienic and contamination-free. |
