Ramadan is a time of reflection, togetherness, and sharing. At EQ Kuala Lumpur, this cherished month is elevated through two exceptional dining experiences – Citarasa Nipah and EQ Bazaar – both designed to bring people together over a feast of traditional and contemporary delights.
Located within the ever-luxurious EQ Kuala Lumpur, Citarasa Nipah offers an authentic taste of Malay cuisine, blending time-honoured recipes with modern refinement. The spread includes everything from local salads like kerabu jantung pisang (banana flower salad) to succulent rendang tulang rusuk and flavourful briyani Batu Pahat. The smoked meats station (salai) is another highlight, featuring delicacies like itik salai cili padi (smoked duck in spicy coconut milk) and udang galah salai (smoked giant river prawns).
Hidangan Melayu
Attending the media preview was an experience to remember. The food was simply delightful, but the Citarasa Nipah menu stood out. The seafood selection was incredibly fresh, and the use of traditional spices created an authentic and aromatic experience. The variety on offer was simply overwhelming – a true feast for the senses.
EQ Bazaar Kuih Muih
For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert station is not to be missed, featuring Malay kuih, ice kacang, and the much-anticipated durian crème brûlée and durian pancake.
For those seeking a lively and immersive experience, EQ Bazaar is back after last year’s phenomenal success. This unique concept brings together the spirit of a bustling Ramadan market within the luxurious setting of EQ’s function rooms.
