The Bow Shackle which is also known as omega shackle is an 'O' shaped metal link which is secured by a bolt. The rounded design allows it to take loads from a wider angle without developing a side load, the bow shackle has a larger bow than a 'D' shackle which a larger surface area for the attachments. It is mainly used to link different overhead equipment together and can be removed and attached easily.
