The period after delivery until 42 days after is known as the post-partum period.
With all the baby feeds and diaper change, it is easy to forget about your own well being. However, it is important that mummy is being taken care of too.
Confinement care can be as simple as just taking supplement to very extensive like confinement centre that is booming in the last few years. Whichever type of confinement care you choose, it is important to prevent complication that may happen to you such as deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in lower limb veins), endometritis (infection of the uterus) and mastitis (inflammation of the breast). For your baby, is important they are feeding enough and feeding well, make sure no severe jaundice (yellow colouration of the skin), no infection and gaining weight at the correct speed.
