Digital calipers have adjustable jaws that slide along a beam to measure between two opposite sides of a tool or part. They are easier to read and offer higher precision than dial or vernier calipers. These calipers do not have SPC output capability, and are used when a direct reading is needed or for recording measurements by hand.
