PRODUCT INTRODUCTION:       
Hot-wire Anemometer is a device used for measuring wind speed, and is a common weather station instrument. ''Anemos'', meaning wind, and is used to describe any air speed measurement instrument used in meteorology or aerodynamics.
 
Hot-wire Anemometers are widely used in different fields, such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, environmental protection, energy conservation monitoring, meteorology, agriculture, refrigerating, drying, labour health survey, clean workshop, chemical fibre and textile, various aspects of wind laboratory, wide range of purposes.

Hot-wire Anemometry Introduction:  
Hot-wire anemometry is a technique for measuring the velocity of fluids(air), and can be used in many different fields.  A hot-wire anemometer consists of two probe with a wire stretched between them. The wire made of tungsten, platinum or platinum-iridium. A small glass-coated thermistor bead is often used on constant temperature circuits versions.




Working principle:
A hot-wire anemometer works as follows: an electric current is sent through the wire, causing the wire to become hot. As a fluid (typically air) flows over the device, it cools the wire, removing some of its heat energy. An energy balance equation can be used to describe this heating and cooling of the wire. This equation can then be solved to determine the velocity of the fluid flowing over the wire.
 
One advantage of hot-wire anemometers over other velocity measurement sensors is that they can be made very small to minimize their disturbance of the measured flow. Hot-wire anemometers are also very sensitive to rapid changes in velocity because the wire has a small time constant.

Working Principle:

Hot wire anemometers
Hot wire anemometers work by heating up a fine wire above ambient temperatures and then measuring how much current is required to keep it at a constant temperature, or measuring how much the temperature changes under constant current. The heat loss is then converted into an air velocity reading.
