The Extension Base Units are connected to the Main Base Unit by means of assembled bus cables. They provide slots for a power supply module and extra I/O modules. A PSU must be fitted to the Extension Base Unit if the power consumption of the inserted modules exceeds the capacity of the power supply module that is situated on the Main Base Unit.
A maximum of 7 Extension Units can be connected to a Main Base Unit with up to 64 I/O modules
Applicable power supply modules: Q61P-A1, Q61P-A2, Q63P
Mitsubishi Q Series CPU's and I/O Bases
The Mitsubishi Q Series is highly flexible. It can be a single or multi processor solution, with up to four CPUs installed on the same backplane. Users can also opt to swap PLC CPUs with motion control CPUs or even add a PC directly (as an intregal part) to the PLC backplane. Q Series can meet modern process challenges by offering an “Automation Rich Environment” from the combination of advanced PLC technology with Motion and a PC as one seamless solution with no networking requirement between them. The Q Series replaces the Mitsubishi A series of PLCs.
Easy to set up and to expand a system
Fast processing speeds and large memory capacity
