Conversely, when the driver releases the clutch pedal, the diaphragm spring re-engages, applying pressure to the clutch disc and allowing power to transfer from the engine to the transmission. The clutch cover plays a critical role in facilitating smooth gear changes and efficient power transfer, making it an essential component for the operation of manual transmission trucks.
