The Extech CG206 Coating Thickness Tester is a portable meter that allows for quick, one-handed operations, and nondestructive measurements of the coating thickness on various surfaces. The meter uses two measurement methods: magnetic induction (for ferrous metal substrates) and eddy current (for non-ferrous metal substrates). The CG206 meter can connect to a PC via USB and transmit recorded data for further analysis and for generating report documentation. The product additionally features dual technology that provides automatic recognition of the ferrous and non-ferrous substrate materials under test.
Product Features:
Smart automatic substrate recognition
Magnetic induction for ferrous substrates
Measured Coatings: Non-magnetic coatings (e.g. paint, zinc) on steel; Insulated Coatings (e.g. paint, anodized coatings) on non-ferrous metals
Eddy current measurement for non-ferrous substrates
Two point calibration with Zero adjust
Two working modes: Direct and Group
Easy-to use menu system
Data transfer to PC via USB
Memory stores 1500 readings (30 Group readings)
8 level adjustable backlight
Low battery indicator
Auto Power OFF with disable feature
Delete single readings or all groups easily
