Erythromycin ethylsuccinate
Indication
Infections due to susceptible organisms
Instruction
Adult 1 g daily two to four times daily. Severe infections: 2-4 g daily. Childn 30-50 mg/kg daily; doubled in severe infections; 2-8 yr 1 g daily in divided doses; <2 yr 500 mg daily in divided doses.
Drug interaction
Carbamazepine, cyclosporin, theophylline, warfarin, terfenadine, astemizole.
