Amoxicillin trihydrate: 287 mg (equivalent to 250 mg amoxicillin)
Potassium clavulanate: 84 mg (equivalent to 62.5 mg clavulanic acid)
Indications:
- Curam is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including:
Upper respiratory tract infections (e.g., sinusitis, otitis media, recurrent tonsillitis)
Lower respiratory tract infections (e.g., acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, bronchopneumonia)
Genital and urinary tract infections
Infections of the skin and soft tissues (e.g., dental infections)
Bone and joint infections (e.g., osteomyelitis)
Instructions:
Adults and children over 12 years:
The usual dose is 500 mg amoxicillin with 125 mg clavulanic acid every 8 hours.
Children aged 6 to 12 years:
The usual dose is 250 mg amoxicillin with 62.5 mg clavulanic acid every 8 hours.
Children aged 2 to 6 years:
The usual dose is 125 mg amoxicillin with 31.25 mg clavulanic acid every 8 hours.
Children under 2 years:
The dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on the child's weight and clinical condition.
Administration:
Reconstitute the powder with the specified amount of water as per the instructions.
Shake the bottle well before each use.
Administer the suspension using the provided measuring device.
Curam can be taken with or without food.
Storage Instructions:
Store the unopened bottle at room temperature, away from light and moisture.
After reconstitution, store the suspension in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C) and use within 7 days.
Keep out of reach of children.
