- Each film coated tablet contains Ibuprofen 400 /mg, a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID) that provides analgesic, antipyretic, and anti inflammatory effects.
Indications
YSP Ibuprofen 400 /mg is indicated for:
- Relief of mild to moderate pain, including headaches, dental pain, musculoskeletal aches, dysmenorrhea, and post operative or injury related discomfort.
- Symptomatic relief of fever, and management of inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other rheumatic disorders.
Instructions for Use
Administration
- Oral use only; swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Do not chew, break, or crush the tablet to avoid throat and mouth discomfort.
- Take with or immediately after food or milk to reduce gastrointestinal irritation.
Dosage
- Adults and adolescents (≥12 /years or >40 /kg):
- For pain or fever: one tablet (400 /mg) every 4–6 /hours as needed, not exceeding 3 tablets (1,200 /mg) per 24 /hours for short-term use.
- For dysmenorrhea: up to 3 doses (1,200 /mg) daily, spaced every 4–6 /hours.
- For rheumatic diseases: initial dose up to 2 × 400 /mg three times daily (2,400 /mg/day), with possible maintenance at 1 × 400 /mg three to four times daily (1,200–1,600 /mg/day).
Missed Dose
- If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it's almost time for the next dose. Do not double doses to compensate.
Precautions & Warnings
- Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration needed to relieve symptoms
- Avoid if there is history of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, hypersensitivity to NSAIDs, or asthma, rhinitis, or urticaria induced by aspirin or other NSAIDs.
- Use caution in patients with cardiovascular disease or risk factors, as long-term or high-dose use may increase risk of heart attack or stroke.
- May cause GI side effects such as nausea, heartburn, dyspepsia, or more serious events like bleeding or ulceration.
- Special caution needed in renal or hepatic impairment, elderly, pregnancy (especially late stages), and in those using anticoagulants or other NSAIDs.
