Indications:
Used to treat various bacterial infections, including:
Respiratory tract infections (upper and lower)
Skin and soft tissue infections
Genitourinary tract infections
Diphtheria
Gonorrhoea
Legionnaires' disease
Listeria infections
Pertussis (whooping cough)
Pharyngitis
Rheumatic fever prophylaxis
Syphilis
Instructions:
Dosage for Adults:
General infections: 400 mg every 6 hours.
Severe infections (e.g., gonorrhoea): 800 mg every 6 hours for 7 days.
Legionnaires' disease: 800–1,600 mg every 6 hours.
Rheumatic fever prophylaxis: 400 mg every 12 hours.
Syphilis: 800 mg every 6 hours for 15 days (early) or 30 days (late).
Dosage for Children:
7.5–12.5 mg/kg every 6 hours or 15–25 mg/kg every 12 hours, depending on the severity of the infection.
Administration:
Reconstitute the powder with water as per the instructions on the label.
Ensure the suspension is well mixed before administration.
May be taken with or without food.
