Omeprazole
Indication
Duodenal & benign gastric ulcer, H pylori-associated peptic ulcer, reflux oesophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Long-term therapy for recurrent duodenal ulcer.
Instruction
Should be taken with food: Take immediately before a meal.
Drug interaction
Increased bioavailability of digoxin. Increased plasma conc of diazepam, phenytoin, warfarin. Prolonged aminopyrine & antipyrine t½. Reduced absorption of ampicillin esters, Fe salts or ketoconazole. Increased leukopenic &/or thrombocytopenic effects of bone marrow depressants.
