Per 5 mL Dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg, pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg, promethazine HCl 3.125 mg
Indication
Cough, Upper respiratory tract symptoms associated with allergy, Upper respiratory tract symptoms associated with common cold
Instruction
Adult & children over 12 years: 10ml every 6 hour
Children 6-12 years: 5 ml every 6 hours
Children 2-5 years: 2.5ml every 6 hours
Drug interaction
Promethazine: May reverse the vasopressor effect of epinephrine. Increased incidence of extrapyramidal effects with MAOIs.
Potentially Fatal: Concomitant use of codeine with benzodiazepines and other CNS depressants may lead to profound sedation, respiratory depression and coma.
