Luffa / Petola

Luffa is commonly known as "丝瓜" or  "Petola" or "Petola Segi".

Luffa is highly nutritious, rich in vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber. Its tender young fruits are commonly used in Asian cuisine, particularly in stir-fries, soups, and curries. As the fruit matures and hardens, it develops fibrous strands inside, which can be harvested and dried to create natural sponges for bathing or household cleaning. Luffa plants are also valued for their fast-growing vines and ornamental flowers, making them popular additions to home gardens.
