The new comprehensive JC range for machining composite (CFRP) materials features six different milling cutter styles intended to bridge all these materials and provide a competitive program in both metric and inch sizes.
This new range of solid carbide tools, end mills and drills, was developed to meet the rising demand in the machining of modern (composite) materials.
The Jabro JC800 range cutters are specifically designed to machine composite parts efficiently. The JC family of tools includes a wide range of cutters with the high degree of specialization needed to meet the specific requirements of these diverse composite materials. The cutters are designed for elimination of fiber break out and delamination as well as improved edge finish.
The DURA coating is a CVD DIAMOND coating. It has outstanding characteristics of low surface roughness and very high substrate adhesion which makes it very wear resistant and ideally suitable for composite materials machining.
The JC840 double helix cutter features & benefits
These double helix cutters are designed to machine stacked (sandwich) materials and are available in both METRIC and INCH sizes.
The JC850 ball nose cutter features & benefits
The 4 flute ball nose end mill is designed for 3D operations and is standard available from stock in metric sizes only.
The JC860 honeycomb sandwich router cutter features & benefits
This cutter was specifically designed for side milling and slotting in honeycomb
sandwich materials often used on aircraft cabin walls and floor panels.
The JC870 & JC871 “diamond cut” routers features & benefits
These
left hand (down-cut) multi-flute routers are multi-purpose cutters
which operate in a variety of materials and applications. They are
standard available from stock* in both metric and imperial (inch) sizes
either COATED OR UNCOATED! Uncoated cutters are generally sharper for
using on soft materials and allows for quick modifications.
The JC880 4 flute end mill features & benefits
This
4 flute end mill provides excellent metal removal rates (MRR) in a wide
range of (more conventional) applications. Combined with the Dura
coating, these cutters can be applied where increased tool life is
required compared to traditional TiCN / TiAlN coated tools and are ideal
as a “starting point” in general applications.
